THE DISCOVERY OF COMPUTER GRAPHICS

My interest in the graphic arts stems many years back when I first bought my used pentium two computer system. The computer came installed with the basic version of Microsoft Picture It. I explored the software and was intriqued with the simple effects that I could apply to my pictures. I only owned a scanner back then. This lead to a taste for more. A little later down the road I finally bought a digital camera at a mere 3 mexapixels. Digital cameras were very expensive back then and were limited to pixel sizes. However, I was happy with it till newer and better cameras appeared on the market. Another goal was also obtaining the coveted graphics software, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

SELF TAUGHT

I never went to college to obtain some sort of graphics degree or anything of the like. Everything I achieved was done by exploring, research and hands on experimenting. It also has a major factor in possessing a creative imagination and a passion for expression and creativity. However, back in the "old school", I loved to draw and create artwork when I was very young. My achievements in this subject was always commented on my school report cards. When the day and age of computers came, my interests in the arts woke up after being in many years in dormant state.

CONTINUOUS LEARNING

I have an interest in many branches of the graphic arts. I love photography, computer art, illustrations, amongst others. I mainly focus on those mentioned. If I didn't understand certain terminology, I would delve right in and soak up any information I could find through research. Mostly, I just kept plugging away, creating pieces of work through what I see through my own eyes. That is what art is all about. I'm always on the lookout for improvement in style and application. I have a sense of accomplishment and amazement when I can create pieces of work that are unique. There is always something fresh and new to learn. Creating art does not ever become boring.

PUBLISHING ONE'S WORK

The next biggest step was showing the world my art. Thus, it came that this website was born. it took some time to make it a reality but my ultimate goal was to have a small business to sell my work. More can be read at photoseeyourownbusiness.blogspot.com. This would be of interest to anyone with an interest in photography and art that would also like to establish their work for publication.
